Leonardo DiCaprio wint eindelijk z'n Oscar | Overzicht van de winnaars 2016

Winnaars van de Oscars 2016

Afgelopen nacht zijn voor de 88e keer de Oscars uitgereikt. Eindelijk won Leonardo DiCaprio bij zijn zesde nominatie het zo felbegeerde beeldje voor zijn rol in The Revenant. Regisseur Alejandro G. Iñárritu van datzelfde The Revenant schreef geschiedenis door voor de tweede achtereenvolgende keer de Oscar voor Beste Regie te winnen. Dat deden slechts drie regisseurs hem voor. Opvallend was ook de eerste(!) Oscar voor componist Ennio Morricone. De 87-jarige Italiaan won voor zijn muziekscore voor The Hateful Eight. De Oscar voor Beste Actrice ging naar Brie Larson voor haar rol in Room. De prijs voor Beste Film werd uiteindelijk gewonnen door Spotlight, de film over misbruik in de katholieke kerk. Son of Saul won de Oscar voor Beste Niet-Engelstalige Film. De meeste Oscars gingen opvallend naar Mad Max: Fury Road, maar allemaal in technische categoriën.
